Today the European Union won the Nobel Peace Prize. When I read a tweet about it, I thought it was some kind of trolling, but only seconds later I realised it was real. W T F?!
Now that`s some serious bullshit. Those kind of awards should go to
inspirational people/organisations and help telling their story, so that
the rest of us gets motivated to become active in a good cause as well.
The EU is a stiff organisation, that is already controlled (at least
strongly influenced) by lobbyists and international money. They aim for
profit and only if peace helps this, they aim for that as well. There
are thousands of human rights activist, artists or journalists who
deserved it more.
Missed oportunity ... sad day.
